En réponse à un article de J.D. Bengtson
Abstract
Some long-range comparatists are trying to rely basque with other languages in big super-families (phyla) as Nostratic or Sino- or Dene-Caucasian. J.D. Bengtson is one of them. There is probably some truth in the above mentioned type of comparatism. But the linguists who deal with it are knowing basque very bad. Thus, they give arguments to those who deny any link between basque and other languages in the world. They use secondary forms or make absurd analysis of words as u-kondo «elbow» instead of uk-ondo (cp. esk-ondo).
