Fenómenos de convergencia en la historia de los dialectos vascos

  • Luis Michelena [Spain]

Abstract

Unfinished work of the author of FHV, that posthumously emphasizes some aspects of convergence which are common to the Basque dialect, as opposed to the most spectacular phenomenon of the divergences. What makes the Basque language to be one is the common nature to which the common innovations have been added.

The second part, less elaborated than the one about the initial approaches, tackles the postponed article and its forms, new in the opinion of the author, in the history of the Basque language; the nominative plural, the allocutive conjugation, the pronouns and verbal inflexions as well as so many other converging elements.
