El movimiento de las frases–QU y el foco en vasco
Abstract
The linguists who have done research into the Basque Language have paid particular attention to the problems of Focus in this language. As a matter of fact this phenomenon can be treated from multiple perspectives. One of them is Syntax, because Focus in Basque triggers specific mechanisms which alter the superficial structure of the sentence. In this paper we intend to summarize the ways in which different linguists have attempted to solve this problem and the consequences which may be derived far the development of an adequate linguistic theory, especially interesting within the frame of the GB theory.
