Abstract

The archaeological controls and researches done during the last years gave us new information about the old Estella village’s defences. Starting from its gates, continuing with the village’s walls, until arriving to its amazing impregnable castle’s enclosure. It’s the castle of Zalatambor, exactly in the heart of this enclosure, in which we had more advances, finding the most important elements out.

Until a few years ago not many people could see a castle behind the hillside steeps which rise to the cross, and today we can just enter through its doors, get inside the wine cellar, the cistern and also in the chapel. Despite of this founding, there is more work to do...
