Datación de maderas muestreadas en la Casa del Condestable [Condestable’s house timber dating]
Abstract
In the building known as House of the Condestable of Pamplona, timber forming the structure of the building could be cut 10 slices for analysis by dendroarcheological techniques. In the most optimal, these measurement techniques and comparison of the growth rings of these woods allow us to date (with a resolution of one year) the year of the original tree felling. But not always be the year of logging relate to the year of start of construction of the building. For the House of the Condestable can not determine the year of felling a tree in the main courtyard beam in the year 1517. Other beams have been dated in the eighteenth century.
