Sondeo en el menhir de Legate I, Baztan (Navarra) [Archeological Exploration in Legate I menhir, Baztan (Navarre)]

Abstract

This article includes the results of the archeological emergency intervention carried out in the menhir of Legate Hego I (Lekaroz, Navarre). Its perimeter experienced uncontrolled removing that affected it. This motivated an exploration to recover the fragments from the basis. Research was also done on the anchorage system and the possibilities for replacement were analysed. The results have been positive as, through the discovery of its foundation ditch, they confirm its megalithic character.
