Abstract

The paper presents all the data about the funeral world in the pre-Roman oppidum and the ancient Roman Pompelo that the archeology has provided. The various findings allow us to make a number of considerations about a reality that, despite participating in broad lines of the Roman funeral pre­cepts, has peculiarities that make us reconsider their rigidity. In addition, the study of the Pompelonenses necropolis, has allowed us to do a number of qualifications on urbanism and urban evolution of the city.
