Abstract

This article embraces a synthesis of the first archaeological season in the mount of San Pedro (Amurrio, Araba), developed by our team in October and November 2016. This project contemplated not only the archaeological excavation of republican defensive structures of the spanish civil war but also an ambitious program of socialization of heritage. As a result of this methodological and patrimonial experience, we present here some reflections on the challenges of Conflict Archaeology and Community Archaeology in Euskadi nowdays.
