Sondeo arqueológico en la cella vinaria de la villa romana de Piecordero I (Cascante, Navarra). Campaña de 2020 [Archaeological survey in the cella vinaria of the roman villa of Piecordero I (Cascante, Navarra). 2020 campaign]
Abstract
This article presents the results of the archaeological survey carried out in September 2020 in the high-imperial Roman villa of Piecordero I, in the municipality of Cascante. The survey consisted of a 2 x 2 m test pit in Space 9, a room interpreted as a cella vinaria of the wine production complex. The interpretation of the results leads us to propose the existence of two phases in this space: one corresponding to the 1st century AD, when the complex was built, and a subsequent reform in the 2nd century AD. In the 3rd century AD the space would be filled with rubble.
