Abstract

These excavation campaigns have served to gain a better understanding of the distribution of medieval remains that are preserved in the land known as Castillo de Valtierra. To date we have located late medieval structures that are located on the perimeter and that it is necessary to survey in future campaigns to be able to know the plan of the main fortified part. On the other hand, the archaeological potential presented by the urban structures of the Islamic settlement, located on the plain of the land, and which date between the 9th and 12th centuries, with exceptional conservation and very difficult to find in the Ebro Valley and the peninsula.
