Excavaciones en San Miguel Excelsis de Aralar (Uharte Arakil, Navarra), 2016-2018 [Excavations at San Miguel Excelsis in Aralar (Uharte-Arakil, Navarre) 2016-2018]

Abstract

From 2016 to 2018, a research team from Aditu Arkeologia carried out excavations at the site of San Miguel Excelsis, at the top of the Aralar mountain in Uharte Arakil (Navarre). Throughout the three excavation campaigns, 28 individuals were exhumed from the medieval cemetery and a series of structures were uncovered both within and at the perimeter of the sanctuary, providing valuable information for the reconstruction of the evolution of the religious complex.
