Arqueología en el castillo de Arguedas. Intervenciones de 2019 y 2021 [Archaeology in the castle of Arguedas. 2019 and 2021 interventions]

Abstract

This article collects the results of the archaeological interventions carried out in the castle of Arguedas in the years 2019 and 2021. The first of the campaigns was carried out within the framework of the adaptation of the hill and its accesses for tourist use, to which was added the completion of four surveys and the stratigraphic analysis and typological characterization of the visible structures. The second intervention has focused on the north side of the hill, where a powerful aljez ashlar wall has been identified, with the aim of characterizing this element and identifying a possible gateway to the castle through this wall.
