El canal de hornos de la Real Fundición de Eugi. Campaña 2025 [The furnace channel at the Eugi royal foundry. 2025 campaign]
Abstract
The 2025 archaeological excavation at the 18th-century Royal Cast Iron Ammunition of Eugi, focused on the western end of the furnace channel area, has allowed for the recording of various structures related to the buttresses of the gallery arches situated over the Arga river, the lighting and entrance openings, the support structure for the waterwheel of the Santiago furnace, the access stairs for maintenance work, the traffic level, and the furnace channel. The intervention was undertaken by the Eugi Town Council as part of the cross-border project named Kintondare.
