Intervención arqueológica y de restauración en el poblado de El Castillar de Mendavia. Campañas 2020-2024 [The archaeological interventions and restoration of the settlement of El Castillar (Mendavia). 2020-2024 campaigns]
Abstract
The settlement of El Castillar (Mendavia) was extensively excavated during the 1970s and 1980s, but after the last archaeological campaign in 1991, the lack of maintenance resulted in its abandonment. In 2017 Mendavia Town Council proposed a new archaeological project to restore and protect the site. This paper summarises the most relevant results of the archaeological and restoration campaigns between 2020 and 2024.
