Aspectos etnográficos de lo festivo en el valle de Guesálaz y Salinas de Oro [Ethnographic aspects of the festive cycle in Guesálaz Valley and Salinas de Oro]

Abstract

This article studies the annual development of the festivities cycle in a rural valley. This region is embedded in territory of Tierra Estella (Navarre). Actually, is sharply forward in its depopulation. This one motivates us a quickly application of an ethnographic field study in order to recover those data concerning about organization of time around the party. Thus, we want to describe the structure of the festival calendar and its evolution over the last decades. However, at the same time, special attention needs to the ways of participate in the celebrations in every village of the valley.
