This article tries to present some fundamental aspects of the life of Erramun Joakin Sunbil, «the blacksmith of Ituren». Through the information obtained, mainly in the files that are cited in the «Erreferentziak» section, it has been possible to fully complete what has been known and published up to now on the previously mentioned character. This information has allowed us to know, among other aspects, his family background, his life in Ituren, the trip to Montevideo where he died and the detailed content of his will.
