Abstract

This article describes the results of the application of the section on «Territorial group», and more specifically the questions on popular laws and constitutions, in José Miguel de Barandiaran’s Guide for an ethnographic survey to the localities which make up the Valley of Valdorba (Mid-Eastern Navarre). It details the relations between neighbours in the traditional society in such areas as land distribution, private and common property, and customs related to contracts, agreements and exchanges.
