Abstract

This article describes the results of the application of the section on rites of passage in José Miguel de Barandiaran’s Guide for an ethnographic survey to the Navarrese locality of Allo (Estella District, Navarre). The informants’ responses describe the social changes residents lived through in the 20th century regarding the different stages of life: birth, childhood, youth, marriage and death.
