Nikolas Ormaetxea, Orixe: hiru belarriko gizona

Abstract

The great poet and classic humanist Nicolás Ormaetxea «Orixe» is certainly the Basque writer that has paid more attention to the auditory aspect of the Basque language. To this effect, «Orixe» emphasized three levels well defined: all of the natural sounds, the limpid murmur of the inner music and the transcendental message of the communication with God that transformed his whole being.

All that turned into his poetical work and constitutes the subject of this short essay.
