Abstract

We review here Mitxelena's Palabras y textos. In that book are collected some articles about Basque, the same as in Sobre historia de la lengua, appeared since then. We high-light some important contributions of Mitxelena, and, at the same time, we make some proposals, for example, the consideration of egu not as a composition or secondary form, but as the primitive word. We say too that it would be desirable a more accurate confection of the book by the editor.
