Abstract

The article consists of three parts; the first deals with three letters received by the Basque studies academic Wentworth Webster from three colleagues who shared his interests: Louis-Lucien Bonaparte, Antoine Thomson d’Abbadíe and Father Fidel Fita. The second section contains a set of bertsos (verses) composed, in all likehood, by the Navarrese bertsolari And’res Astitz Olondritz. The third section offers the transcription of a letter written in Basque in Urdazubi in 1767.
