Una tabla del siglo XVI para aprender a contar en vascuence [A XVI-century table to learn to count in Basque]

Abstract

This article presents a new document from the XVI century found in Spain’s National Library in Madrid. The text consists of a table and a brief explanation written in Castilian on learning to count in Basque. Unfortunately, we have no information about whom it may have belonged to. The author of the article forwards different hypotheses on the possible origin and use made of this peculiar document.
