Abstract

These unpublished documents of L. Mitxelena's (1915-1987) documentary fund are a very valuable contribution to the historical memory of the promotion of the Basque studies in the postwar period. The documents include the initial projects of possible actions, the confirmation of the first achievements, the creation in Salamanca of the chair "Larramendi" and the protection of the Basque Language Academy, Euskaltzaindia. Finally, they defend the official implantation of the Basque studies on the university level.
