¿El nombre vasco de Los Arcos según el Fuero de Estella?
Abstract
Several names such as Kurnoniem, Kornoia or Cornoba (a senseless reduction) and Urancia, only mentioned by Pseudo Turpin have been traditionally referred to Los Arcos (Navarra). The fuero given to Estella by Sancho the Wise (1164) refers to the brigge of Los Arcos as «Pont de Archeta» or «de Arqueta», vasc. arku+eta, «archs, the archs», a name that may have been normal among the basque speakers of Lizarra/Estella and the villages nearby.
