Abstract

The objective of this paper is to approach the history of the Basque-Navarre border area during the eighteenth century and from a perspective that privileges the female subject as a fundamental agent in its development. The participation of women in the smuggling of tobacco, the marital conflicts born of the frontier peculiarity or the speeches arising from this context, will be analyzed in a work that aims to prospect an area of unpublished study.
