Abstract

The current article collects several multidisciplinary researches that have been accomplished by the Department of Historical Archaeology of the Society of Sciences Aranzadi, in the archaeological site of the castle of Irulegi, for the last six years. This enclave, which is situated at the summit of the mountain Irulegi or the rock of Lakidain (Aranguren Valley), is located in an important strategic place for the control and organization of the region, since, at least, the Last Bronze Age and even until the decline of the Kingdom of Navarre.
