Abstract

This article summarizes the results of an archaeological exploration carried out on the cave of Zelaieta I (Urdax-Urdazubi, Navarra). After a continuous deterioration of the site due to ongoing exploitation of a marble mine, the objective of the study is to confirm the archaeological characteristics of the cave. The results are positive, as they show a stratigraphy with two levels. The first, as a shelter during the Late Bronze Age, within the last part of the second millennium and the first decades of the first (B.C.). The evidence is affected by the current occupation of the site. Additionally, material in an inverted position was also recovered from the site.
