Abstract

The paper presents the use-wear analysis of arrowheads which have been recovered at three collective graves, the megaliths of Aizibita, Charracadía and Morea, located in the valley of the Salado river (Navarre), and whose funerary use expands between the middle of the iii and ii millenium BC. The use as projectiles of a lot of them has been reconstructed from the study of traces of macroscopic and microscopic nature.

Although some of these arrowheads might be deposited intentionally, from a functional perspective also the hypothesis that there is others that were launched and perhaps they could have injured or killed to certain of the buried individuals has been suggested. We think that these arrowheads were introduced in the grave...
