Abstract

The article shows the result of the work carried out during a camp for young volunteers in the prison camp of Igal. This place was used to seclude the Workers Battalions, Disciplinary Battalions of Workers Soldiers and soldiers who participated in the construction of the Igal-Roncal road, mainly between 1939 and 1941. In 2018, the work consisted of the construction of a barracks in the image of those used the BB. TT.. Also, the camp was cleared, the concrete block barracks were consolidated and a metal detector survey was carried out in areas of the camp. The main objective is to show the application of the archaeological methodology to the recent history and recovery of historical memory.
