Prospección arqueológica de las cuevas del valle de Larraun (Navarra). Campaña 2021 [Archaeological survey of the caves of Larraun valley (Navarre). 2021 field season]

Abstract

Our work in 2021 has focused on three objectives: 1) to collect and systematize the available information (topographies, publications and lists); 2) to process and analyze the archaeological remains recovered in the previous campaign; 3) continue the field surveys. In the case of the materials recovered in the previous campaign, a study of the anthropological remains from Irumuga and Basaran 1 is currently being carried out, and three samples have been taken for C14 AmS dating. Lastly, the field surveys carried out so far have focused on several caves in Etxarri, Baraibar, Alli and Mugiro, where two archaeological sites, and another paleontological one, have been identified for the moment.
