Inventario de lagares de sidra en la Navarra Atlántica: primeros resultados

Abstract

The current situation of cider presses in the Atlantic area of Navarra is detailed. In order to do this, the geographical areas of Arano, Goizueta, Leitza, Betelu, Bera, Lesaka, Igantzi, Etxalar, Sunbilla, Doneztebe, Narbarte, Elbete, Arizkun, Erratzu, Amaiur and Luzaide-Valcarlos were visited, cataloguing thirty cider presses. The locality of Bera is worthy of special mention for the number of cider presses in working order which it still possesses. This catalogue is no more than a contribution to other more in-depth studies still to be performed on the subject in order to find out more about, transmit and highlight the ancestral world of cider.
