Abstract

The main objective of this work is the gathering of what remains of the “oiconimia” of the Unciti Valley. The research has been carried out to fix its origins, evolution and characteristics though basic tools such as oral surveys and archive documents.
It is a common practice in the area where the Valley is situated to give a name to each house–this habit comes from the medieval period– and it spread at the end of the XVI and though the XVII century, probably as a result of the way society was organized around a system of semi-encloseded houses and of the way that the neighborhood rights developed though widespread.
