Abstract

Apadul located in Yesa (Navarre, Spain). The site corresponds to the buried part of a vertical air intake kiln with double arcades of Arabic origin. Only the entry and the combustion chamber remain in place. The analysis is complemented with a review of different documentary sources including local and regional archives, and related publications; and with a battery of interviews to local residents. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the site is a pre-industrial «tile production centre», built in 1933 and abandoned in the fifties.
