Abstract
The legendary «piedras mormas» from Los Arcos were three huge funeral steles with semicircular upper ends, dating from the Roman old empire, that were destroyed in the middle of the last century. Based on a document from the beginning of the 17th century and the survey at their location, the archaeological research infers that it was a rural Roman settlement connected with the Vascon town of Curnonium.
