Abstract

The aim of this work is to analyse and disseminate the trial in which María de Ardanaz and Pedro de Badostáin, two residents of Burlada, were accused of witchcraft in the year 1672. However, before going straight into detail, some key points regarding witchcraft in Navarre will be presented, as well as some explanatory notes referring to Burlada at that time in order to contextualise the subject matter appropriately. Finally, the relationship between the facts of this case and another simultaneous one which has already been investigated by Florencio Idoate in his work regarding witchcraft will be shown.
