Abstract

This article presents a theoretical-methodological framework with which to undertake, within sociocultural anthropology, an ethnographic study of the political-cultural and sociohistorical imagery associated with a current process of construction of collective representations in Nafarroa, which is linked to a citizens’ movement that intends to restore Historical Memory. In Spain it is observed a growing increase in the number of academic studies on the articulation between: (i) sociological theories of culture; (ii) historiographies of political conflicts; (iii) the politics of social memory; and (iv) the politics of national memory, where Nafarroa is not exception. However, up to my knowledge no study has been accomplished here through ethnographic inquiry and method.
