Abstract

The article compiles biographical notes on Francisco Javier Beúnza Arboniés (Sangüesa, 1927-2015), focusing particularly on his dedication to the Ethnography of Navarre. In addition to reviewing the outstanding cultural activities that he carried out as director of the Sangüesa Culture Centre, located in the Palace of Vallesantoro, boosting activities related to music, dance, crafts, timber-rafting, etc., his prominence as collaborator –between 1975 and 1990– in a project for an Ethnographic Museum of Navarre, which later came into being as the current Museum of Ethnology «Julio Caro Baroja», is highlighted.
