Abstract

The Rioja Alavesa, and particulary its Eastern region was part of the old council of Laguardia is placed in an area inhabited by highly romanized Indoeuropean peoples, which most probably used a variety of Romance language, a mixture of Riojan, Navarrese and Castilian, could be explained according to the same facts.
