Scripta medieval occitana en Euskal Herria

Abstract

This article is about the occitane linguistic varieties during the Middle Ages in Navarra. With reference to the "administrative scripta" it is mentioned the occitane aquitane-Pyrenean reflected in the Law Codes of Jaca, Estella and Pamplona, the Establimentz of Estella, the Accounts Book of the Cruzat's, the Accounts of San Cernin's Hamlet (1244) and over 500 notarial documents ot the medieval hamlets of the Frankish in Navarra.

Regarding the occitane-gascone variant, we have the Remembrança que aquetz son los de la nau Santa Maria and the whole of the documents related in San Sebastián, Fuenterrabía and Low Navarra. With regard to the "literary scripta" we have received The War of Navarrería by Guilhem Anelier (c. 1280) subject matter of a doctoral thesis elaborated by Julián Santano Moreno and conducted by Dr. Ricardo Cierbide
