Lizarragabengoko hizkera
Abstract
This article describes the Basque spoken in Lizarragabengoa. This version of the language, although currently alive and kicking, is in serious danger of disappearing, at least as far as use is concerned, the unified version of the language (among the younger population) and the Basque spoken in Arbizu, above all (among the rest as a result of geographical proximity), dominating day-to-day speech. However, as long as the forms of speech particular to Etxarri-Aranatz and Arbizu remain in use, we shall always be able to recall the Basque from Lizarragabengoa, given that this beautiful version of the language employs structures and resources loaned from both
