Abstract

We are presented with a collection of letters addressed to Yuri Zytsar which reveal a Luis Michelena at once human, hard-working, open to collaboration of any kind, interested in all the offerings that the Basque language may receive. But more than this perhaps, we are presented with a didactic, motivating Michelena, tutor and master, mentor of Basque scholars throughout the world. The letters cover the 20th of September 1967-15th of September 1968 period. The first letter received by Zytsar from the address of Fontes Linguae Vasconum is also included
