La forma pasiva de *Ditza + (U) + N > Ditzan

Abstract

An attempt is made at providing proof to suggest that Diten from the supposed *Edin comes from *Ditza(>Dira) from Izan + subjunctive N like the rest of the *Edin inflections. Likewise, an attempt is made at showing that Ditzan from the supposed *Ezan comes from Ditza + U + N. This would confirm the hypothesis that Dira(<Ditza), Ditu, Diten, Bite, Bitza, Ditzan share the same third-person plural passive subject, something which would only be possible if the transitive verbs were in the passive form.
