Antroponimia medieval euskérica en la Ribera Tudelana
Abstract
Though not very abundant, the presence of Basque anthroponyms in a XIV-century fiscal document, the so-called Libro del Monedage de Tudela, is significant in that it allows us to estimate the presence of Basque speakers in the Tudela area of the Navarran “Ribera” in mediaeval times. Basing itself on an analysis of the Navarran names of members of the Muslim community (“moors”), the article put forward the idea that there may have been Basque speakers among this part of the population.
