Presencia del euskera en Munarritz (Valle de Goñi)
Abstract
Munarritz forms part of the Valley of Goñi and Euskara was spoken in the village until the beginning of the XX century. The parish books contain frequent orders for the clergy to preach in this language. This study gathers a number of written testimonies, house names in 1790 and 2000, local place names and vocabulary influenced by the Basque language used by the village’s inhabitants today.
