Abstract

Endrike Knörr published in iker-6, a collection edited by Euskaltzaindia, some basque texts preached in Ollo in 1777. He mentions in his work two priests called Martin Joseph Marcotegui, probably uncle and nephew, the uncle being the author of the texts. We have looked for new details about them and give an account of those which we have found. We do the same with their contemporary parish priests in Ollo, and we offer a view of the situation of the basque language in Ollo, Goñi and Azantza.
