Abstract

The main altarpiece of the cathedral of Tudela is considered to be the most outstanding preserved example of the Late Gothic Painting in the kingdom of Navarre. This article presents a new, completely unknown document up to now, which along with the already known ones allows the reader to plausibly reconstruct the complex process of the making of the altarpiece. At the same time, it is possible to identify precisely some other scenes of the altarpiece, made by the same artist, Diego del Águila, a painter from Castile about whom not much is known
