El Centro de Estudios del Museo Oteiza y su biblioteca [The Centre of Studies of the Oteiza Museum and its library]

Abstract

The library of the Fundación Museo Jorge Oteiza is along with the personal archives of the sculptor and writer from Orio, the base of the museum’s research centre. As any other personal library, it is a keystone to understand his interests and for a further approach to his sculpture works, and bears witness to his vast intelectual mind. An innumerable amount of side notes and underlines stretch across pages and pages of his books and periodicals, allowing us to deepen into his thought. The new library’s aim is to provide support to researchers and widen our knowledge of Jorge Oteiza, his time and work, and is a must in the sculpture and contemporary art subjects among libraries in Navarra.
