About the location of castro Silbaniano and the fortress of Sajrat Qais

Abstract

The study of the possible locations of the Pamplona’s fortress of Sajrat Qais and of Pamplona’s Castro Silbaniano drives to raise the possible identification of both and also, locating it in the valley and castle of Garaño (Navarre). Study that has also carried out the review of several documents of the XIth century that, till now, were considered like belonging to the monastery of St. Martin of Tours, of Albelda (La Rioja).
