Abstract

This article aims to be an introduction to the study of the architectonic grills in general and these of the Romanesque Era specifically. The method to forge this kind of grills is described. The description and comparison of the actually existing grills in the abbey of Conques and in the cathedral of Pamplona following the rules stated by Marie Noelle Delaine in hers treatises about the romanesque grills in France, are the main object of this essay. Under the aesthetical and historical point of view are enhanced the characteristics which can confirm the kinship between both grills and with others existing grills along the Podensis and Tolosensis branches of the Jacobean Way...
