Juan Joseph Ezquerro, sons and grandson, a family of printers
Abstract
This publication intends to show the continuing work carried out by the Ezquerro family in the art of printing throughout the eighteenth century in Navarre. A comparison of the works of the grandfather and his grandson reveals the latter’s progress in publishing thanks to the collaboration of renowned sketchers and engravers in some of his works. The work they produced as the official printer of the Kingdom of Navarre, of Pamplona or of the Reales Tablas was correct but moderate. However, they were able to show off their creativity when they produced privately commissioned work for patents of nobility, for medical or legal publications, or for religious entities.
